After many rounds of playtesting and iteration, we've revised the first four levels of Fidelity: The Perfection Formula, with only one left. These new designs are much closer to their final forms, meant to better reinforce game concepts as they're presented, reduce redundant gameplay and replace it with interesting choices, and do more to distinguish this game from others, among other things.
Fidelity: The Perfection Formula now has gamepad controller support!
We've been working extra hard lately to finish up the levels of Fidelity: The Perfection Formula. Final touches are being added the the scenes, as everything is rounding into shape. Big news coming soon!
In other news, we've also been increasing production on our next VR project, which is nearing demo quality. In fact, a recent AI breakthrough inspired this very post. After a few days of thinking about a problem in a particular way, it was easily solved by thinking laterally. The result is AI that thinks more like actual humans, which led to an unexpected epiphany about humanity and coding.
We've been having trouble with lighting dynamic objects in Fidelity for some time. This was a serious concern, since dynamic objects play a big role in the game, and the inconsistent lighting was a frequent eyesore. To our relief, much of the problem was solved using light probes. See the images below, where the top row is without light probes, and the bottom row is with probes.
